Opening of the Feeding the Future call for projects
Following on from the previous edition, the Feed the Future call for projects is aimed at civil society and businesses to encourage innovations that accelerate the transition to sustainable food. You have until January 14, 2022 to present your project!
Supporting creative emerging solutions
We believe that sustainable food is necessarily democratic, supportive and agroecological. This is why, as part of our 2019-2023 strategy, we are conducting various programmes, from seed to compost, from research to field projects.
The urgency of the transition encourages us to anticipate the challenges of tomorrow more, to support creativity and solutions that break with those we know. In addition to the actions developed and spread by the Foundation as part of its various programs, this “Feeding the Future” call invites those who dare to look at and build the world differently to apply, whether they work in civil society or in companies.
We are looking for projects that address emerging issues, that create new knowledge, services or products for the benefit of as many people as possible. We will favor projects that aim to open up new avenues of solution to the problem addressed, possibly risky and/or breaking with the solutions usually developed. These innovations can be organizational, economic, technological, conceptual. They can draw inspiration from the history of forgotten practices or from creativity and new opportunities. These projects must have a strong social and/or environmental impact.
Accelerating the agricultural and food transition
This call for projects is aimed at 2 families of actors:
- Structures eligible for sponsorship to obtain a subsidy;
- Companies to obtain investment funds, ranging from equity investments to debt financing.
This call for projects is being conducted in partnership with Quadia as part of our “Sustainable Food Systems” (SFS) impact investment fund for young companies that contribute to the agroecological and food transition.
First, we will study your brief statement of intent. If your project is selected at this stage, we will ask you for an in-depth description and analysis, before the appraisal by a consultant or by Quadia. Finally, the financing decision will be based on a jury composed of experts.
Fully supported by the Foundation in addition to the funding granted, a support proposal can also be made to you to strengthen a particular point of your project (expertise, deployment capacity, internal structuring, etc.).
Find the projects funded in 2021 , 2020 and our “Sustainable Food Systems” fund in our impact report.
