Our investments for the transition
Investments consistent with our social mission
Our investment policy takes into account both the concern for profitability to finance our sponsorship activities, and the adequacy with our mission and values. We intervene responsibly on the financial markets on Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) strategies and through investments with a socio-environmental impact.
The ecological transition at the heart of our investment policy
In 2015, by signing the DivestInvest manifesto, and then in 2020 with those of the French and Spanish climate coalitions, we made a commitment not to invest in large coal, oil and gas production companies. We do not invest in fossil fuel assets and are committed to renewable energies and the low-carbon transition.
Aware of the strategic role of foundations, we have adopted an ambitious and committed investment charter to serve the transition. We support the emergence and development of virtuous, sometimes disruptive companies, aligned with our vision and values in the face of current emergencies. We also contribute to the development of sustainable finance by supporting communities of actors committed to fairer and greener practices.
Our impact investing strategy
We support growing, often innovative companies, always seeking to make a massive socio-environmental impact. We’re betting on these initiatives scaling up and shaking things up. We identify and finance these future agents of change, in line with our focus on sustainable food systems and Citizen Art, but also in the fight against climate change and pollution, the preservation of resources and biodiversity, and in the service of inclusion, sharing, solidarity and democracy.
Tiina: for the emergence of innovative food and agricultural solutions
Tiina is an impact investment program launched by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, in partnership with MiiMOSA and makesense, to support the seeding of innovative projects in favor of the agricultural and food transition in France. The ambition is to create an ecosystem of innovative companies capable of moving the lines. Thus, this seed scheme identifies, finances and supports these innovations contributing to the agricultural and food transition and helps them to be deployed. It offers low-interest loans and personalized strategic support, prioritizing impact measurement, economic viability and the ability to deploy solutions at scale.
