Call for applications for our artist residency program until July 10

To deal with the consequences of the health crisis, we are setting up, in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts, an exceptional residency programme for vulnerable artists. Applications are open until 10 July 2020.

The artistic sector is particularly affected by the consequences of the Covid-19 health crisis. Many artists and professionals are now suffering a loss of remuneration due to the cancellation and postponement of events or projects. In response to this serious situation and to provide support to artists and professionals on the French art scene, we have partnered with the Cité internationale des arts to set up a new residency program.

This emergency scheme is part of our ” The artist, committed citizen ” programme, which promotes the essential role of artists in society.

A multidisciplinary system

The objective of this scheme is to offer artists a living and working space, financial support and a conducive artistic environment for a period of six months, allowing them to catch their breath after this unprecedented crisis in its scale and duration.
This exceptional program of residencies in 2020 is an urgent response to provide support to artists who are highly precarious in these uncertain times; It is also a way to concretely initiate a concerted reflection on the future of artists’ residencies, and more broadly, of a new, less invisibilized place to be given to creative work.
