Launch of the In Situ 2025 Artists’ Residencies Call for Applications

The 3rd edition of the In Situ program will invite in 2025 10 artists engaged in visual arts, performance, design, architecture-urbanism and curatorship to question the links between creation and ecological transition. Designed as a space for research, exchange and production, In Situ offers a six-month residency in the heart of the Cité internationale des arts, under the direction of María Inés Rodríguez. This edition explores the interrelations between uses, temporalities and forms of socialization to rethink our modes of action in the face of climate challenges. A 6-month multidisciplinary residency

The residency program is intended for emerging artists with an artistic practice that is in the field of visual and performance arts, music and sound research, live performance, writing, design, architecture-urbanism, and curatorship and art criticism, and whose work and research are related to the theme of the residency program.
It is open to candidates of all nationalities residing in the European Union, who are able to express themselves and exchange in English.
Group applications (duo or collective) are accepted and will give rise to the allocation of a studio-accommodation, the payment of a living grant, a start-up grant, a single payment of transport costs.

As part of the program, the winners will benefit from October 3, 2025 to March 26, 2026:

• collective and individual professional support, which also includes visits to exhibitions and meetings with personalities from various fields;
• a studio-housing on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts;
• a monthly living grant of 1,000 euros;
• research and production aid of €2,000, paid on presentation of proof of payment;
• reimbursement of return transport costs between the place of residence and the Cité internationale des arts.
In addition to evaluating the candidates’ professional background, the members of the jury will pay particular attention to the artistic quality of the project, to the argument presented around the added value of this perspective of residency in Paris, in connection with the theme and the dynamics proposed within the framework of the residency program.

All the information and practical questions are presented in the framework note to download below. You can send your application by April 26, 2025 via the dedicated form. To apply, a Google account is required. The results will be announced at the end of June 2025.
