2025 Annual Report: A Year of Commitment to Art and Food
In 2025, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation supported 210 projects totaling 23.5 million euros and committed 51 million euros to impact investments. Beyond the numbers, our 2025 Annual Report highlights the year’s key moments in both France and Spain, showcases the diversity of initiatives we supported in the areas of sustainable food and socially engaged art, and demonstrates our continued commitment to accelerating the transition toward a more just, inclusive, and sustainable society.
For 15 years in France and 11 years in Spain, the Foundation has been guided by the conviction that sustainable food systems and civic art are two complementary drivers of societal transformation. These two areas of action promote social cohesion and empower people to take action; they are rooted in local communities, mobilize groups, and nurture democracy. The year 2025 has confirmed the validity of this vision. In a world marked by political tensions, growing divisions, and the erosion of environmental gains, the Foundation renewed its commitment in 2025 and launched a new strategic plan to provide increasingly concrete solutions in its areas of focus.
2025: A Year of Connections to Bring People Together and Drive Change
«What makes our Foundation unique is that it stands at the crossroads of two countries that share the same priorities while respecting the realities of each territory, of two fields of action whose dialogue is deepening, and of thousands of stakeholders—project leaders, artists, researchers, and citizens—who are devising concrete solutions.

The year 2025 was marked by numerous highlights that fostered cross-pollination among various areas of activity—art, food, and the two countries where we operate, France and Spain—to bring them together and drive change.
- In Madrid, the opening ofInfinito Delicias has given rise to what the Foundation has championed from the very beginning: a space where culture, food, and citizenship intersect and come together to create something new.
- In Paris, the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Foundation was a time for coming together, an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and to reaffirm what unites us.
- The Foundation has also strengthened its governance with the creation of a Strategic Committee and the renewal of the Strategic Guidance Committees, bringing together 32 experts from diverse backgrounds in both France and Spain to share perspectives and expertise.
- A redesign of the CARTAE offering in France has made it possible to strengthen the tailored non-financial support provided to partners (consulting, workshops, training, and mentoring).
Cross-functional initiatives on impact assessment, information systems, and communication have been launched and will continue through 2026.
The Grand Opening of Infinito Delicias
On December 14, 2025, Infinito Delicias opened its doors in Madrid’s Delicias neighborhood. This 2,700-square-meter third place, recognized by the 2023 Holcim Awards as the most sustainable project in Europe, is dedicated to culture, sustainable food, and citizen-led innovation. The opening ceremony brought together institutional representatives, artists, community leaders, and neighborhood residents for exhibitions, workshops, performances, and participatory activities. Its mission: to foster dialogue between culture, food, and the ecological transition, and to host initiatives that envision new ways of living, producing, and living together.
2025: A Year to Accelerate the Transition to Sustainable Food Systems
In 2025, the Foundation continued its commitment to working alongside those who advocate for a food system that respects both people and ecosystems. Through initiatives in France and Spain, it supported the transformation of agricultural systems, helped regions build localized food systems that are resilient, and sustainable food systems, guaranteeing the right to food for everyone, and encouraging the emergence and dissemination of new narratives that make sustainable food and agroecology both possible and desirable. The Foundation awarded them 86 grants totaling 11.9 million euros. It also organized major events and awarded fellowships.
- In France, the 5th edition of the Sustainable Food Conference reaffirmed the essential point: in the face of setbacks and uncertainties, the response can only be a collective one. With nearly 1,600 participants, both in person and online, the event featured 15 sessions focused on mobilizing economic stakeholders, elected officials, and citizens. Roundtable discussions on fisheries ecology, food security, and agricultural democracy: the event also highlighted art as a catalyst for change in the service of sustainable food systems.
- The year was also marked in France by the launch of the call for projects Local Decision-Makers, designed to raise awareness among decision-makers about the challenges of agroecology, and in Spain by the launch of the 4th call for projects under the Del Campo a la Despensa program, which aims to support collective initiatives in the areas of food processing, production, logistics, and/or distribution.
- In Spain, the 3rd edition of the Daniel Carasso Fellowship recognized three dedicated young researchers. Their work addresses topics as varied as the governance of small-scale producers, the recovery of agricultural waste, and rural anthropology.

2025: A Year to Transform Perspectives Through Community Art
Once again this year, the artistic projects we supported have helped to include, bring together, and transform our societies. These initiatives aim to promote the integration of artistic practices into education, reduce inequalities in access to culture, encourage collaborations between artists, scientists, and citizens, and support artists in their civic engagement. The Foundation awarded them 90 grants totaling 10.1 million euros.
- Founded along with 10 other foundations, Alliance for Socially Engaged Artspromotes socially engaged art through collaborative networks and a grant program for 15 European organizations.
- The year was also marked by exchanges between the arts and sciences through the winning projects of the call for proposals Composing Knowledge , which addressed water-related issues and Spanish publishing with Componer Saberes.
- In France, a series of “Rencontres” organized in partnership with Télérama highlighted the new challenges facing culture and artists. These events were organized in the spirit of the podcast Les voix de l’art citoyen.
- In Spain, the initiative Arte por venir has, for the first time, made it possible to directly support the creative processes of citizen artists who address the challenges of the present and explore different ways of engaging with reality in connection with their communities, thanks to a grant program implemented nationwide and residencies at Infinito Delicias.

2025: A Year to Continue Aligning Our Mission and Investments
With 51 million euros committed to impact investments, the Foundation has continued to identify and fund ethical—and sometimes disruptive—companies that deliver tangible social and environmental impact, supporting them as they scale up their operations.
The Program Tiina complements the food component by funding and supporting agricultural and food projects to accelerate their impact. In France, 53 projects were selected in 2025, and 27 received support. Tiina France has also selected its first four agricultural grantees.
And what’s next?
«In 2026, we will continue to develop our strategy: refining our understanding of the impact we make, providing support that is ever more closely aligned with each person’s needs and realities, communicating more effectively—with the dedication and enthusiasm that drive us—and with the conviction that solutions come from those who take action every day.
