The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation is delighted to announce the appointments of Laurence Nahmias as Vice-Chair and Philippe-Loïc Jacob as Executive Vice-Chair, to its Board of Directors.
Laurence Nahmias
The eldest daughter of founders Marina and Jacques Nahmias, Laurence Nahmias began her career in 1993 as a marketing professional in France and abroad with various companies in the Danone and Johnson & Johnson Groups. Motivated by a desire to help the younger generation develop while acquiring the key skills needed to build a fairer, more sustainable world, she has devoted over twenty years to higher education. She currently heads a Master’s program at Skema Business School. Laurence Nahmias has been a director of the Foundation since its creation in 2010, and a member of the Strategic Committee since 2025. Her appointment as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors marks her commitment to the governance of the Foundation.
Philippe Loïc Jacob
Philippe Loïc Jacob is close to the founding family. He began his career in 1986 with Groupe Danone, where he held positions of international responsibility. In 2002, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Groupe Danone, then Group General Secretary from 2004 to 2009. Since 2009, he has chaired Citeo, the eco-organization in charge of packaging management and paper recycling. Philippe-Loïc Jacob has also sat on a number of boards of directors, notably that of champagne group Laurent-Perrier, where he is Chairman of the CSR Committee, and is involved in the governance of public interest organizations such as EM Lyon, where he chairs the Audit Committee. A trustee of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation since 2010, he has provided invaluable expertise in strengthening its impact. His appointment as Executive Vice President recognizes his 15-year involvement in the Foundation’s organization in France and Spain, as well as in the strategy and management of the Foundation’s projects.
