Become a sponsor of a work of art!
From July 2 to October 15, 2025, citizens of the Centre-Val de Loire region are invited to propose an artistic commission to respond to a territorial issue. A unique opportunity to act locally by mobilizing contemporary creation. This call for proposals from the Society of New Patrons is supported by our Foundation as part of the Art, Democracy and Territory(s) program, which aims to reduce inequalities in access to and participation in artistic and cultural practices, by encouraging collective initiatives and commitments.
Strengthening citizen dynamics in the territories
The “New Sponsors” call for proposals makes it possible to transform citizen concerns into a work of art. This original approach, led by the Society of New Patrons and Bourges 2028 – European Capital of Culture, is aimed at all individuals or groups wishing to improve their living environment through creation.
«
Our support for the Society of New Patrons fully embodies our commitment to accessible, co-constructed art that promotes social cohesion. This call for proposals is part of our desire to strengthen participatory dynamics in the territories, by supporting contemporary creation as a tool for democratic dialogue, cultural transformation and citizen appropriation.

Support from A to Z
The project is based on a proven method: each group of sponsors is accompanied by a cultural mediator from the definition of the issue to the inauguration of the work. The selected artist will propose an original creation – whether visual, sound, architectural, or literary – designed in dialogue with the inhabitants. The works will be inaugurated in 2028, echoing Bourges European Capital of Culture.
«
Being a sponsor means living a human and artistic adventure. It means acting together, collaborating with artists, mediators and new partners around meaningful projects, and giving birth to unique works, rooted in our territories. This call for proposals is intended for you. Participate in large numbers and become cultural actors too!

What is the New Sponsors Campaign?
For more than 30 years, this singular approach has led to the creation of more than 500 works of art resulting from the meeting between citizens, mediators and artists. It is based on a simple but strong idea: everyone can take part in contemporary creation, from wherever he or she stands, in the affirmation that to make art is to make society. Each commission thus becomes a human and artistic adventure, open to the world, to the territory, and to what it is possible to imagine together.
