exposition in situ

Come and discover the creations of artists from the In Situ 2025-2026 program at the exhibition In the Half Light, from February 26 to March 7, 2026 at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris. Conceived as a space for shared research and extended exchanges, the exhibition highlights the processes, gestures and conditions in which practices take shape.

An open-air space for dialogue and experimentation

Marked by a particular focus on the body and the relationship between practices and contexts, the exhibition reflects a unique period of experimentation, namely the 6-month residency at the Cité internationale des arts as part of the In situ program. Here, the works are still under development and open to exploration, questioning notions of action, resistance and solidarity. The title metaphorically evokes a precise moment of light, permeated by urgency and fragility, when perceptions blur, meanings become unstable and artistic practice emerges.

In Situ: thinking and producing together

In situ is a multi-disciplinary residency program that we have co-constructed with the Cité internationale des arts, with the aim of being both a time and a space for encounters, research and individual and collective work, as well as a workshop for the production of knowledge and works. The residency brought together 10 artists, whose practice falls within the fields of visual arts, performance, design, architecture-urbanism and curating. A collective and individual dynamic brought them together around a theme proposed by Maria Inés Rodriguez, Director of Tropical Papers and guest curator for this edition.
