The Foundation is a partner of the seminar “On air live with…” of the Palais de Tokyo

We are pleased to be a partner of the seminar “ON AIR live with…” organized as part of the exhibition Carte Blanche à Tomás Saraceno.

Three interdisciplinary days that will be held one Friday per month: October 26, November 23 and December 14 through conferences, workshops and “arachno-concerts” in the heart of the Palais de Tokyo.

Supporting and participating in these events, at the crossroads of arts and sciences, is a continuation of the work we are doing, the objective of which is to put art at the heart of the city to understand, bring together, transmit but also compose knowledge.

In 2015, we initiated the call for projects “Composing knowledge to better understand the challenges of the contemporary world”, which supported transdisciplinary cooperation projects between artists and scientists, and in 2017 also promoted the creation of an “arts and sciences” chair in partnership with the École Polytechnique and the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs – Psl.

Decompartmentalizing our ways of thinking, sharing our experiences, creating common worlds, will be at the heart of these three days with which we are happy to be associated, to continue to forge links and explore new paths of understanding alongside researchers, activists and artists.

October 26: Aerocene An activist and open-source project initiated by Tomás Saraceno, which imagines a new era in the history of planet Earth, a time in which ecological awareness, ethics and environmental policies become major social values.

Introduced by Bruno Latour, these conversations investigate ways of decentralizing and decolonizing our way of thinking, with the hope of moving beyond human exceptionalism, towards new forms of activism and the construction of common worlds.

December 14: Arachnosophy This day questions the spiders that surround us, their bodies, cognitive and perceptual realms, as well as how knowledge about these animals has been produced and shared and how this knowledge has sparked more research and inspired other fields – such as Tomás Saraceno’s experiments on the hybridity of webs, or on the possibilities of interspecific communication.
