Val de Drôme Community of Municipalities (CCVD)

The Val de Drôme Community of Municipalities comprises 29 municipalities at the confluence of the Rhône and Drôme rivers. It is leading an initiative aimed at accelerating the agricultural transition across the region, in line with its food and agriculture strategy for 2050. Faced with the challenges of climate change and resource conservation—particularly water—the community is adopting a regional and systemic approach based on resource efficiency and quantitative management.
The project is structured around several lines of action: support for agroecological infrastructure that promotes water infiltration; assistance for new operations that incorporate resource efficiency principles; and the development of economic sectors that consume fewer resources.
The goal is to strengthen the region’s resilience by preserving a dynamic agricultural sector and sustainable economic opportunities.
