Who are we?

At the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, we strive for a future where art and food play a role in transforming society. We are a private, non-profit family foundation, established in 2010 in honour of Daniel and Nina Carasso, and affiliated to the Fondation de France. Since 2014 we have also been active in Spain, an expansion that has strengthened our binational identity, with a presence and impact in both countries.

We support individuals, organisations, and institutions that create, research, and innovate in these fields, promoting collaborative networks and new ways of imagining the future. Our mission is to contribute to the transition towards a fairer and more sustainable society, encouraging dialogue between culture, food, and society. We believe that collaboration across ideas, disciplines, and communities is the foundation for building a shared and optimistic future.

Daniel Carasso and Nina Covo shared a sense of curiosity, a commitment to excellence, and a simple conviction: art nourishes the mind, and food nourishes the body.
Their paths converged in a life’s work marked by openness, culture, and a commitment to others. From this story emerged the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, guided by a Franco-Spanish perspective. Today, we honor their legacy by supporting initiatives that promote sustainable food systems and socially conscious art, working toward a more just and responsible society.
