We join the European Foundation Centre

Compartir en:

It is a pleasure to announce our recent accession to the European Foundation Centre (EFC), the network that promotes, defends and connects European philanthropy. This new addition echoes the commitment we have been making in the world of philanthropy for several years, both in France and in Spain, but also in Europe and internationally.

Our commitments in the field of philanthropy

Convinced of the importance of acting collectively to maximise our impact, we strive to be a committed and responsible agent in the world of philanthropy: both through our participation in networks of foundations, and through our structural support to the sector’s representative bodies, and through the funding of research in the field of philanthropy.

Among the networks we support are the Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF), the Centre Français des Fonds et Fondations (CFF), Admical, or the European Foundation Centre( EFC). We are also part of thematic networks related to our two lines – Sustainable Food and Citizen Art – such as the European Foundations for Sustainable Agriculture and Food (EFSAF) working group, which is also a member of EFC, or the Global Alliance for the Future of Food , which brings together some twenty international foundations.

We believe that alliances between agents who are committed in a sustainable way to the general interest allow us to optimize good practices, develop common projects, maximize our national or international impact, but also promote the private and family philanthropy sector.

And why did we choose the EFC?

Founded in 1989, the European Foundation Centre (EFC) is an international association of foundations and patron companies with 231 members. The European Foundation Centre is both an association of members and an information centre. It hosts the Donors and Foundations Networks in Europe (DAFNE) – European network of associations of foundations and donors.

We will continue to be very active in the French and Spanish networks of philanthropy, but it seemed important to us to be part of a broader network that allows us to access new forms of philanthropy and thus enrich our practices. We also wish to reflect with our European partners on the philanthropy of tomorrow in a world in constant movement where the foundations of democracy are sometimes threatened

Our participation in the 2019 General Assembly of the association

The Fondation de France (to which we are affiliated) will host from May 21 to 24 the General Assembly of the European Foundation Center “Liberté, égalité, fraternité!” in Paris with a day dedicated to freedom, another to equality and the third to fraternity/philanthropy. The program includes conferences, project visits, networking, etc.

Within this framework, we will organize visits to projects supported by our Foundation, in France, such as the Philharmonie and in particular the DEMOS program, through our Citizen Art axis, but also le Paysan Urbain, Baluchon and le Nouveau Centenaire, through our Sustainable Food line.

We will continue to inform!
