Sustainable food
The UNESCO Las Loras Global Geopark, a natural and rural enclave located between Burgos and Palencia, is facing a profound transformation of its agri-food fabric through a comprehensive project focused on sustainable production, marketing and the generation of added value for local producers. The initiative, supported by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation within its Sustainable Food axis, promotes the construction of a food processing and distribution center in Quintanas de Valdelucio, equipped with a cutting room and logistics for extensive livestock products and organic farming. This infrastructure will be integrated into a set of eight actions aimed at strengthening the local production chain, reinforcing cooperation between producers and laying the foundations for a collective brand with regional and digital projection.
