Biziola Herriz Herri

In the Goierri region (Guipúzcoa), the Biziola cooperative is leading a project supported by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation within the Del Campo a la Despensa 2023 call to transform the marketing and distribution of local agroecological food. The initiative Biziola Herriz Herri: Activating a leap of scale from distribution proposes to create a cooperative sales and logistics system that connects towns and neighborhoods throughout the territory beyond the clientele of the local store. The objective is to generate sufficient demand to consolidate agroecological production and favor the emergence of new productive proposals in the region. The project also integrates a commitment to life in small rural areas, the valorization of sustainable local products and the promotion of responsible consumption habits among the population.
