Sustainable food
Food transformation initiative that promotes the production of organic canned vegetables in the region of Subbética (Andalusia). It was born to support producer families in the use of fruit and vegetable surpluses and guarantee access to certified organic food at a fair price in nearby markets. The project, promoted by the Subbética Ecológica Association, combines a territorialized approach to food sovereignty with cooperative practices and the Economy for the Common Good in the production of jams, sauces, pickles and other organic products. With the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, the initiative works to strengthen its presence in traditional commercial channels and in the Horeca channel, expand online sales, introduce digital tools for commercial management, optimize operational processes and consolidate decent employment within the framework of the workshop.
