What are the Foundation's areas of action?

We work in the fields of citizen art and sustainable food in Spain and France. Each of these axes covers different programs that we invite you to discover on our website.

We operate in Spain and France in the fields of citizen art and sustainable food. The Foundation reserves the right, however, to intervene in countries facing emergency situations, especially after environmental crises, by supporting projects linked to these two main lines of action.

Does the Foundation accept donations?

Our Foundation is a grant-making entity: its mission is to financially support and accompany organisations whose actions are part of our strategic axes. We do not raise funds and develop our mission from the returns of the initial endowment. Since our Foundation is hosted by the Fondation de France, we invite you to contact this entity if you wish to make a donation.

How can I apply for funding from the Foundation?

The projects we support within the framework of our programmes are identified through calls for projects or through the active search carried out by our teams. More information about our calls

What are the stages of project selection?

The general stages of dossier selection are described here. We also invite you to consult the specific stages described in each call.

Who decides on the selection of projects supported by the Foundation?

The selection of the projects is carried out, in the first phase, by people from our teams and professionals who are well versed in the challenges of our programmes (pre-selection phase and evaluation phase). In a second phase, a jury made up of volunteer experts examines the projects that reach the selection phase and makes recommendations to the Foundation's Executive Committee, which makes the final decision.

What kind of entities does the Foundation support?

In Spain, the Foundation supports private or public entities of general interest. They can be associations, foundations, NGOs, public sector entities, public administrations at all levels (local, regional, provincial, etc.) and any structure of the social and solidarity economy.

In addition, in both France and Spain, the Foundation has developed an impact investing strategy in non-profit or for-profit entities. Through these impact investments, the Foundation can finance entities that work for a change in the economic model, as well as business projects that propose innovative solutions.

What kind of expenses does the Foundation finance?

Provided that the expenses are justified by the project, the Foundation can finance both equipment and small infrastructures, personnel costs, operating costs, management costs or structural strengthening costs.

Permanent staff costs (including permanent contracts) and permanent operating expenses (rent, etc.) of public bodies are not eligible.

In addition, depending on the needs identified and the requests of the entities responsible for the selected projects, the Foundation may offer additional structural support missions to the grant awarded to the project.
