About Us
A vision that unites art and food
At the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation we work for a future in which art and food contribute to transforming society. We are a family, private and non-profit foundation, created in 2010 in honor of Daniel and Nina Carasso and affiliated with the Fondation de France. Since 2014 we have also been developing our activity in Spain; This expansion has consolidated our binational identity, with presence and action in both countries.
We support individuals, organisations and institutions that create, research or innovate in these areas, and we foster collaborative networks and new ways of imagining tomorrow. Our mission is to contribute to the transition to a fairer and more sustainable society and to promote dialogue between culture, food and citizenship. We believe that cooperation between ideas, disciplines and communities is the basis for building a common and hopeful future.
“My parents, Daniel and Nina Carasso, were two generous, curious, and demanding people. Through the foundation, I wanted to honor not only their memory but also their values and passions. This foundation aims to be an extension of their generosity and open-mindedness.”

Daniel and Nina: Our Origin, Our Guide
Daniel Carasso and Nina Covo shared curiosity, rigor and a simple conviction: art feeds the spirit and food takes care of the body. Their trajectories came together in a life project guided by openness, culture and commitment to other people.
From that story the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation was born, with a Franco-Spanish perspective. Today we honor his legacy through support for initiatives that promote sustainable food and citizen art, to move towards a fairer and more conscious society.
