DESCRIPTION

From the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation and the cultural association hablarenarte, we launch the fifth edition of the NOTAR research residency program. The residencies are endowed with €7,000 each (for both individual and collective proposals) and will be held in person at Planta Alta (Madrid), from September to November 2026.

After four editions, the Foundation and hablarenarte continue to defend mediation as a driving force of cultural democracy, maintaining NOTAR as an essential space to generate and share knowledge around cultural mediation and related knowledge. For this reason, we are looking for individual or collective research projects carried out by people with a track record who wish to deepen the practice of cultural, artistic, community mediation, etc., while transforming their learning into accessible and useful resources for the entire sector.

In this fifth edition and after the success of the research itinerancies carried out in previous editions -with nyamnyam in Mieres (2024) and with Concomitants in Galicia (2025)-, we reinforce the NOTAR Accompaniment Program (PAN) with the aim of opening up to other territories, institutions and agents, weaving a network of complicities that enriches the experience of residents and contributes to valuing mediation as a practice of cultural production autonomous, generator of specialized knowledge. The call will be open until 11:59 p.m. (Spain time – UTC/GMT + 1 hour) on February 15, 2026.
