Learn about the eight projects funded in the fourth edition of Tiina
The Tiina impact investment program concluded its fourth edition on April 16 with Community Day, a meeting in which the eight projects that have accessed the loan fund and the post-investment support phase were announced. With the Ship2B Foundation as a strategic collaborator, we accompany these projects in the field of Sustainable Food or Citizen Art so that they can develop business and governance models that maximize their impact and contribute to the transformation towards a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable world.
In the fourth edition, two annual calls have been carried out among which the fund of 500,000 euros in soft loans has been distributed, reaching 1.1 million euros invested since the program began. In the first call, we supported Empower (70,000 euros), Yellow Jacket (75,000 euros), Plant on Demand (100,000 euros) and Urban Green Club (50,000 euros), initiatives that laid the foundations for this edition. Subsequently, in the second call, to which we allocated 255,000 euros, we have reinforced our commitment to support Granja Escuela Ultzama (60,000 euros), Estel de Llevant (70,000 euros), Pluto (65,000 euros) and La Benefica de Piloña (60,000 euros).
We want being part of TIINA to open doors: doors to new financing opportunities, for those entities that need capital to grow; and also doors to new business opportunities, alliances and connections that allow them to expand their reach and multiply their impact

The eight funded entities participated in two round tables according to the axis in which they work. In Citizen Art they discussed the cultural barriers that are helping to break down their projects or the learning that their communities are revealing to them. Sustainable Food addressed issues such as the meaning of “sustainable” within its initiatives or what are the most urgent food system problems to intervene in.
In addition, the conference included the presentation “Catalyzing systemic impact through Venture Philanthropy” offered by Raúl Sánchez, Director of Impact Investments at COFIDES, who explained terms such as additionality, the mixture between intuition and investment to reduce the fragility of those projects that are less investable. “Financing is not just moving money, it is deciding what future deserves an opportunity. When we fund with purpose, we don’t just support projects. We catalyze possibilities, prepare futures and begin to change systems.” He also stressed the importance of generating an ecosystem by accompanying and financing high-impact projects in Sustainable Food and Citizen Art. “Because high-impact solutions are not built alone, they are built in community.”
Empower (Community of Madrid), an association that actively promotes the cultural inclusion of people with autism. Its model integrates cognitive accessibility, family support and institutional transformation in museums and cultural centres, having already changed practices in twelve institutions and trained 387 professionals.
Yellow Jacket (Cádiz, Andalusia), a studio that creates cultural and inclusive video games for young Spanish speakers, combining gamification, education and heritage with a veo-inclusive approach to foster collaboration and cultural appreciation.
Plant on Demand (Community of Madrid), a digital platform (SaaS) that centralizes and automates e-commerce, traceability, invoicing, logistics and stock for small producers, facilitating the creation of hubs for joint sales to reduce waste and boost rural areas.
Urban Green Club (Granada, Andalusia), an urban agriculture cooperative that designs, manufactures and installs mobile terraces and composting systems to transform urban spaces into living and educational environments, promoting connection with nature, community well-being and environmental training.
Ultzama Farm School (Ultzama Valley, Navarra), a space that combines nature, tradition and learning to offer experiences in the rural environment, aimed at families, schools and visitors interested in learning about life in the countryside. With the support, they will set up a whey treatment plant with the aim of recovering waste and generating new opportunities.
Estel de Llevant (Manacor, Balearic Islands), an initiative that combines social and labour insertion with the production of organic infusions, offering opportunities to people with mental health problems through their participation in activities such as the cultivation and preparation of organic infusions, while promoting social inclusion and the development of environmentally friendly products.
Pluto (Valencia), a multidisciplinary artistic laboratory that promotes experimentation in disciplines such as art, design, music or performance, promoting collaboration, collective learning and the development of artistic projects in connection with the territory and the community.
La Benefica de Piloña (Piloña, Asturias), a cultural and community project that recovers an old theatre to turn it into a living space for creation, meeting and dynamisation in rural areas. This initiative combines tradition and contemporaneity to strengthen local identity, promote intergenerational dialogue and use culture as a driver of social cohesion and revitalisation of the territory in the face of challenges such as depopulation.
More than 1 million euros in 20 impact projects
Since its launch, Tiina has promoted projects that consolidate a more robust and collaborative impact ecosystem. With the four editions, the fund has reached an investment of €1,100,000 in 20 Sustainable Food and Citizen Art projects, acting as a catalyst for social innovation.
The 20 Sustainable Food and Citizen Art projects invested: Menjadors Ecològics, Aptent, Aulafilm, Ecocentral, Fundació Mescladís, Mas Albornà, ConArte Internacional, Cross Border, Apadrinaunolivo.org, B-Murals, Kultursistema, Mum’s Madrid, Plant on Demand, Urban Green club, Empower, Yellow Jacket, Granja Escuela Ultzama, Estel de Llevant, Pluto and La Benéfica de Piloña.
A fifth edition in which the Tiina program is consolidated
Within the framework of the event, we have presented the fifth edition of the program, whose first call is open until May 10 and is aimed at startups, social enterprises and third sector entities based in Spain that have a sustainable business model and generate social and/or environmental impact. Of the 15 projects selected for a first phase of pre-investment, diagnosis and intensive training, a maximum of five will receive funding and will move towards strategic and personalised support, which will allow them to enhance their social impact.
