Learning together to feed our cities
We continue to make progress in the process of systematising the Spanish and French initiatives on the so-called Territorialised Food Systems (local food initiatives led by those local entities that, in collaboration with social organisations and other public and private actors in the agri-food system, are working on the configuration of food policy initiatives).
Coordinated by the organization CERAI and DEFI, in Spain and France respectively, its objective is to identify the learning generated by the different experiences spread throughout the State, so that they can then be disseminated.
During this second meeting (October 2018), organised in Pamplona within the framework of its project “Healthy food systems in nursery schools”, representatives of the administration and social organisations of each of the 10 participating projects shared two days of work, during which they reflected on governance, scaling and articulation of demand and strategies for social transformation. Sharing time and debates with each other and with French initiatives has also allowed them to continue deepening their knowledge of other experiences.
Beyond providing information, knowledge and elements to enrich each dynamic, the ultimate objective of this systematization is to make available to other territories interested in implementing territorialized food strategies, all the learning generated by these pioneering initiatives in Spain. The process is already entering its last phase and at the beginning of next year, we hope to be able to start disseminating the results. We continue to move forward together!
