New online space of the SABE Community
We are launching this June because the SABE Community is launching its website, a space that will serve as a meeting point for researchers, producers, distributors, retailers, consumers, and all agents in the food sector with a clear objective: to connect them and generate collaborations that transform the way we produce, manage, and consume food.
The SABE Community – whose name comes from the acronym for Sustainable Food Based on Evidence – has at its core the individuals recognized with the Daniel Carasso Fellowship, scientists who work to transform the food system from perspectives as diverse as biology, agronomy, health, sociology, or politics. We believe that knowledge is a powerful tool to drive positive changes, but for these changes to be lasting, knowledge needs to be shared. For this reason, the SABE Community works to bring scientific evidence closer to society as a whole, foster dialogue, and strengthen alliances among those driving the transformation of the food system.
That is why its new website will not only feature the research of the Daniel Carasso Fellows. In its different sections, you will also be able to access articles, informative materials, specialized publications, and varied content, as well as initiatives, collaborations, and projects that reflect the richness of approaches and perspectives necessary to address the transformation of food systems from multiple dimensions.
SABE is the result of years of collaborative work, collective learning, and shared commitment. For this reason, it brings together research, proposals, and experiences that help advance towards a more sustainable future for people and the planet. Researchers, professionals, and change agents have contributed to generating knowledge and building an interdisciplinary network oriented towards innovation and sustainability.
The content presented here explores topics as diverse as the impact of public policies and technology on the agri-food sector, agroecology, distribution and consumption models, as well as other key areas for advancing towards more sustainable food systems.
The SABE Community hopes that this space will help to learn, connect, and find new ideas to continue building, collectively, a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable food future.
