How are the strategic decisions of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation oriented? From now on, also through the new Strategic Orientation Commissions for Sustainable Food and Citizen Art, which bring together sixteen experts to provide external views and enrich the Foundation’s reflection.

The new Strategic Orientation Commissions (COS) met for the first time on February 11 at Infinito Delicias. Made up of sixteen experts from various fields such as research, agriculture, culture, business, the public sector and civil society, these trainings have the mission of guiding the Foundation’s strategic decisions in order to strengthen the impact of its actions.

The commissions, which do not receive financial remuneration for their support, will meet twice a year to feed into the work of the Strategic Committee created in September 2025 and chaired by Emmanuel Nahmias. The issues addressed by the Foundation are multidimensional and change as society does; Therefore, being able to count on external and expert views is essential to formulate the right questions and guide decision-making, encouraging debate and creating spaces to confront ideas.

This first meeting has revealed a strong link between disciplines. The diversity of points of view promises enriching debates, as well as transversal connections between Sustainable Food and Citizen Art around issues such as the territory, the arrival of artificial intelligence or impact measurement. These commissions also function as a living observatory of the projects, which provide measurable data on the evolution of our areas of action and allow us to identify emerging signals.

The four pillars of his work:

  • PARTICIPATE in the development or revision of the strategies of Citizen Art and Sustainable Food
  • FOLLOW the implementation of priorities, their impact and the progress of projects
  • ISSUE recommendations on structuring projects
  • NURTURE the reflection of the Strategic Committee and the Board of Directors

In a world in permanent transformation, having structured spaces for reflection and guidance is essential. The Strategic Orientation Commissions, which act in a coordinated manner in France and Spain, strengthen our capacity for anticipation, analysis and coherence, and consolidate a common course between France and Spain. We will continue to promote this continuous dialogue with the conviction that only through listening, diversity and collaboration can we expand the scope and depth of our impact.
