AADK Sonora

Sound experimentation school based in Centro Negra, in Blanca (Murcia), which promotes active listening, collective creation and artistic learning in the rural environment of the Ricote Valley. The project opened a line of work focused on the aural field and the relationship between sound, territory and community. Promoted by AADK Spain, Sonora joined the platform in 2017 with Selu Herraiz as part of a radical pedagogy project funded by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation within its Citizen Art axis. This impulse broadened AADK’s focus towards ecoacoustic experimentation and gave rise, among other developments, to the De la Raíz al Noise festival, today ROTA, and the Aldarrax label.
