Climate Foundations

An initiative that seeks to involve the Spanish foundation sector in the response to the climate crisis and the inequalities it generates. The project was promoted in 2019 by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation together with the Spanish Association of Foundations during the DEMOS meeting, with the aim of integrating climate action into the activity of foundations. Climate Foundations offers a framework for collaboration and learning for these entities to progressively incorporate climate criteria in their management, their investments and their programs. In addition, it connects with the international movement Philanthropy for Climate, which brings together similar initiatives in Europe and other countries to strengthen the role of philanthropy in the ecological transition.
