Socially engaged art
Project that incorporates orchestra, band, dance and theatre into the teaching hours of public schools in L’Hospitalet so that artistic practice is part of the daily learning of students. The proposal is developed within Fem Tàndem L’H and turns the educational center into a space for creation, collective work and stable access to artistic education. The initiative is articulated through the Escola Municipal de Música-Centre de les Arts de L’Hospitalet (EMMCA), whose teachers travel to schools and work with students as part of their educational community. The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation supported this project in 2016, within the framework of its Citizen Art axis and within a line that promotes the link between arts, school and social cohesion.
