Socially engaged art
The project develops in Corcubión (Costa da Morte, Galicia), for thirteen months, a process of recovery of the native forest through a model of land stewardship. It has the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation and was born from the alliance between the eco-social association Boca de Sapo, the cultural association Universidade Cromática das Virtudes and the cultural cooperative Azul mais Verde, entities with an active presence in the area. The initiative combines artistic practices and scientific knowledge to strengthen the community’s bond with its landscape and address the deterioration of rural ecosystems. Through collective work, it seeks to recover uses and knowledge linked to the forest and strengthen cultural cohesion in the territory.
