Pinocchio

Pinocchio: Instruction manual for a great puppet show is an initiative of the Teatro Real that combines stage creation and cultural mediation in a format designed for wide audiences. The project is produced under the umbrella of the Carroza del Real, the itinerant stage with which the theatre expands its artistic offer throughout Spain. With the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, the proposal develops a contemporary piece inspired by The Adventures of Pinocchio and exhibits it for a year in rural locations in Extremadura, a region with limited access to cultural programming. The aim is to establish a creative methodology linked from its origins to mediation with diverse communities, to provide innovative musical and visual languages and to strengthen the dissemination of the lyrical genre.
