Sustainable food

GDR Campiña de Jerez and Northwest Coast of Cádiz

The Rural Development Group (GDR) Campiña de Jerez and Northwest Coast of Cadiz has consolidated over more than twenty-five years its work as a manager of initiatives that articulate local rural development strategies with the active participation of communities and agents of the territory, combining European and regional programs to support economic diversification and social cohesion in rural areas of Cadiz. The participation of the GDR in Terralimenta, a program promoted by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation with the collaboration of Red2Red, represents a renewed impulse to integrate sustainable food into the local development agenda. This initiative accompanies Rural Development Groups in the transition towards territorialised agri-food systems, strengthening the connection between agricultural production, industry and rural communities, and allows the GDR to take up previous experiences of agri-food dynamisation in the Campiña de Jerez and the Northwest Coast of Cádiz.
