Strengthening community culture in Aragon

Project aimed at making visible and reinforcing the collaborative cultural initiatives present in the region. In a context marked by the precariousness of the cultural field and the lack of institutional support – aggravated after the Covid-19 crisis – Strengthening community culture in Aragon promotes tools for diagnosing and articulating the sector, such as a mapping of projects throughout the territory, professional meetings and spaces for dialogue with public administrations. The aim is to improve the working conditions of those who carry out these practices and to expand their social impact. The initiative is promoted by Red Cuenco, a network of community culture initiatives that emerged in Zaragoza that promotes cooperation between cultural projects in the territory, and has the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation within the call Alliances for a cultural democracy.
