Sustainable food
Initiative promoted by the Asturian rural environment to reinforce the agroecological transformation and provide the territory with a common productive structure. It arises before the end of the concession of the current workshop in the Cabranes Business Incubator and turns this moment into an opportunity to expand scale and consolidate alliances. The proposal comes from the Kikiricoop S. Coop. cooperative, which groups food transformation projects and currently shares facilities with other initiatives such as Confusión Comidas Catering, Asturcilla, Fungi Natur and the CRA La Coroña school canteen. The new approach envisages setting up a service cooperative together with projects with which there is already collaboration, including Fungi Natur, Asociación Ablana and Trébole de Agua. The objective is to increase the transformation of local products and strengthen cooperation between those who produce, transform and consume in the territory. The project has had the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation within the framework of its Sustainable Food axis.
