Transforming imperfect and ugly products into beautiful opportunities

Espigoladors creates a production model that impacts three current problems: food waste, lack of access to healthy food for at-risk groups and the lack of socio-labor opportunities for these groups. The gleaners of Espigoladors recover fruit and vegetables discarded due to production surpluses, price drops or aesthetic criteria. A part is channelled to entities that give access to food to people at risk of social exclusion and another part is transformed into canned vegetables, marketed under the brand “es im-perfect”.
