Fever, by Olmo Cuña
Asturias, España
2025
The project explores how the closure of coal-fired power plants transforms the territory, the body and everyday life. Fever, by Olmo Cuña, takes place in Asturias, in the Aboño estuary and in the vicinity of the Aboño Thermal Power Plant. From the audiovisual creation, the proposal reflects on the energy transition and on collective work in the field of film. As part of the research, the artist has proposed a group walk open to the public along the estuary. That tour opened a conversation about landscape changes, industrial transformation, and their effects on people. Selected in the first edition of Arte por venir 2025/2026, Fiebre receives the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation within its Citizen Art line, with financial aid, mentoring and accompaniment for one year.
