The project seeks to facilitate easier access to local, organic, and healthy food in Laudio, while also bringing regional produce closer to consumers. To achieve this, it consolidates a store managed by Ekintaeko and develops Ekobono, a mechanism to support food access. It also studies how to supply a community dining hall for the elderly with local products and offers training to those who use municipal gardens. The project is complemented by activities on food and agroecology that aim to promote self-consumption, increase the presence of local production, and strengthen ties around food. Ekintaeko Elkartea drives this initiative, selected in the first edition of Entornos, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation’s Sustainable Food call.
