A place for research and creation, training and cultural programming

The École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay has acquired a 160-seat theater, built by Renzo Piano and fully integrated into its campus. The theater symbolizes the commitment and conviction of ENS President Pierre-Paul Zalio and a dedicated team to the fact that the training of the elite, particularly scientists, cannot be dissociated from an apprenticeship or a career in the arts.

artistic acculturation, which is absolutely essential.

The Scène De Recherche (SDR) project revolves around research-creation residencies for artists and scientists, knowledge and practical workshops designed to introduce the public to the work of an artist, and a genuine contemporary creation program built up in partnership with other cultural institutions, in order to raise public awareness of creation, contribute to the attractiveness of the campus and develop a cultural hub in the area.
