As EFSAF is not a pooled fund or funding system, foundation members align their funding according to their individual mission and means. This contribution can take different forms, such as support for coalition building and strategic thinking, implementation of food systems performance measures at national level, production of evidence-based research and development of a common discourse, publication of information on food systems. The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation chairs the steering committee.

EFSAF – Philea
The network of European sustainable agriculture and food foundations (EFSAF) has the medium- and long-term aim of promoting a more sustainable overall food policy in Europe, encompassing policies relating to agriculture, rural areas, food and health.
