Tiina is an impact investment program launched by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, in partnership with MiiMOSA and makesense, to support the launch of innovative projects promoting the transition to agriculture and food in France.
Endowed with 1 million euros over 3 years, this program, initiated by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, aims to finance and support between 20 and 30 project leaders, drawing on the expertise of industry partners MiiMOSA and makesense. It responds to all the challenges of transition and targets impacts on climate, health and nutrition, biodiversity and regeneration, accessibility to healthy products and fair value chains.

Bee Friendly label: helping to protect pollinators
FRANCE
Pollinating insects are declining at an alarming rate, threatening biodiversity and ecosystems. BEE FRIENDLY is the label for farmers committed to protecting pollinators. The aim of this European initiative is to promote more responsible farming by creating best-practice guidelines for each sector, and by certifying and raising awareness among the various players involved, particularly consumers.
Fungu’it: the mushroom-based protein substitute

Fungu’It is developing a natural, healthy, local and low-carbon source of protein using mushroom fermentation. Based in the Burgundy-Franche Comté region of France, Fungu’It proposes to recycle agricultural by-products into a protein ingredient for the food industry. Mushroom fermentation enriches the by-product to improve its nutritional and functional properties, using a very low-energy process.
Assolia: a tool for agricultural strategies
FRANCE
Assolia is a decision-support tool that processes agronomic and economic data on a farm and simulates crop rotation scenarios in order to optimize crop rotations. This tool was born of the realization that farmers need to optimize their crop rotation to maximize yields, without increasing chemical inputs and farm mechanization.
BICYCOMPOST: compost by bicycle
NOUVELLE-AQUITAINE
BICYCOMPOST collects bio-waste in Bordeaux and recycles it into 100% natural local compost. BICYCOMPOST has set up a CO2 emission-free bicycle collection system for bio-waste produced by professionals (restaurants, grocery stores, cafés, etc.). This waste is then transformed into high-quality compost by their partner Pena, in Saint Jean d’Illac. This 100% Bordeaux compost is distributed free of charge to market gardeners.
Neptune Elements: seaweed that’s good for you and the planet!
FRANCE
Founded in 2021, Neptune Elements markets seaweed and seaweed-based products grown and harvested in France (Brittany). Neptune Elements works with establishments employing disabled people to package its products, and the company is a member of several organizations to bring the seaweed industry to the attention of decision-makers. For example, it has received the support of the UN’s Ocean Advisor and the President of the French Republic in 2022.
Simple Comme Bonjour: organic, free-range, local yogurt!
NORMANDIE
The Simple comme Bonjour project was born out of a desire to make yogurt as simple as possible, using fresh milk from the farm and sold locally within a 100km radius of the farm, in supermarkets, organic stores, hotels and local restaurants. To achieve this, the company has developed a high-performance processing tool: the on-shelf micro-dairy. This solution allows farmers to be more independent of their dairies, and also enables them to increase their remuneration.
YEASTY: reclaiming brewer’s yeast!

Yeasty is a young start-up developing a protein superfood based on brewer’s yeast that has been upgraded using a unique process: debittering, which removes the bitterness naturally present in certain products. Their ambition is to democratize their consumption and turn them into superfoods that can be incorporated into numerous recipes, such as alternatives to meat or sports nutrition products, but also into products to combat various forms of undernutrition.
