Does the Foundation accept donations?

Our Foundation is a "distributor", which means that its vocation is to financially support and accompany organizations that present actions in line with our strategic axes. We do not collect money and carry out our mission from the income from the initial endowment. As our Foundation is hosted by the Fondation de France , we invite you to contact the Foundation here if you wish to make a donation.

How do I apply for funding from the Foundation?

The projects supported within the framework of our programs are identified either by call for projects or by a survey carried out by our teams. To find out more about our calls for projects, you can visit our dedicated page .

What are the project selection stages?

The overall file selection steps are described here. However, we also invite you to read the specific steps of each call in the "Framing Note" corresponding to the call.

What are the Foundation's selection criteria?

We invite you to read the specific criteria for each call in the "Framing Note" corresponding to the call.

Who decides on the selection of projects supported by the Foundation?

The selection of projects is carried out first by members of our teams and instructors who are familiar with the challenges of our programs (pre-selection phase and then by an Instruction phase), then by a Jury, composed of volunteer experts, if the project reaches the selection phase. This Jury makes recommendations to the Foundation's Executive Committee, which makes the final decision. Learn more about the different selection steps. Learn more about our committee members.

Which structures are supported by the Foundation?

In France, the Foundation supports private or public structures eligible for Articles 200 and 238bis of the General Tax Code. These may be associations, foundations, endowment funds, public institutions, local authorities, etc., falling within the framework described by these two articles. In Spain, the Foundation supports private and public structures of general interest. These can be associations, foundations, NGOs, public institutions, public administrations at all levels (local, regional, provincial, etc.), and any structure of the social and solidarity economy. In addition, in France and Spain, the Foundation has developed an impact investing strategy in non-profit or for-profit structures. Through its impact investments, the Foundation can finance partners aiming for a change in the economic model, as well as entrepreneurs offering innovative solutions.

What types of expenses does the Foundation finance?

Provided that the expenditure is justified by the project, the Foundation may finance equipment, small infrastructures, personnel costs, operating costs, management costs or structural reinforcement costs. Permanent staff costs (including permanent contracts) and permanent operating costs (rent, etc.) of public bodies are not eligible. In addition, depending on the needs identified and the requests of the selected project leaders, the Foundation may offer structural support missions, in addition to the subsidy granted to the project.
