Short circuit sales on Mercabarna

In Mercabarna, the Short Circuit Sale initiative seeks to reverse the isolation that local farmers have experienced since the creation of the market. With the support of the 2023 call for proposals from Del Campo a la Despensa of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, it accompanies the action of the Associació de la Pagesia de Mercabarna (APAM) to promote the direct sale of fresh fruit and vegetables. The project promotes access to small businesses and restaurants in the metropolitan area and seeks fairer commercial conditions for those who grow in the area. It is also aimed at strengthening the visibility of the short circuit as a viable alternative for food trade with local impact.
