New call for projects: Raising awareness among local decision-makers about the challenges of sustainable food

Resilient territories and sectors
Share on :

We are launching a new call for projects as part of our Sustainable Food axis. The objective? Support initiatives aimed at strengthening the awareness of territorial decision-makers on the challenges of agroecology and sustainable food systems. With a budget of €200,000, this call is aimed at structures eligible for sponsorship, wishing to take concrete action in the heart of the territories. Applications are open until June 4, 2025 at 6 p.m.

Agroecology and sustainable food: mobilizing territorial decision-makers

Every day, territorial decision-makers must face the negative impacts of our agricultural and food systems and provide concrete answers to their fellow citizens. At different levels, they have levers of action to initiate changes at all stages of the food system: installation, production, processing, distribution, consumption, waste management.

While the challenges are numerous and glaring, women and men who are committed to the general interest often suffer from a lack of budget allocated to their community, training on agricultural and food issues, or spaces for exchange between peers where inspiration and support can be found.

These are some of the lessons learned from the TETRAA program, co-led by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation and AgroParisTech, which supported 9 territories from 2020 to 2024. We are continuing our support for ambitious regional agroecological and food transition initiatives, with our “Resilient Territories and Territorialised Value Chains” programme, and today we are launching the call for projects “Raising awareness among local decision-makers of the challenges of sustainable food”.

Strengthening knowledge, capacity and visibility of sustainable food

This new call for projects is aimed at those who contribute to strengthening the knowledge and capacity of territorial decision-makers to act on the challenges of the agroecological and food transition. These projects will contribute to making food a visible subject (public debates, media and local events) and will help to promote the emergence of ambitious projects at the local level.

The budget for the call for projects is 200,000 euros, to support 2 to 6 projects.

«

This call for projects is an opportunity to raise the profile of the subject of sustainable food and to promote the emergence of ambitious projects at the local level, which take into account sustainability issues from farm to fork.
