Mutant Institute of Environmental Narratives

Artistic laboratory for climate based in Matadero Madrid, the Mutant Institute of Environmental Narratives (IMNA) investigates how stories, imaginaries and forms of representation influence our way of understanding the climate crisis. Through exhibitions, educational programmes, workshops, spaces for experimentation and research and creation projects, it brings together professionals from art, science, technology and other fields of knowledge. The objective? To test new environmental narratives and activate processes of collective intelligence around contemporary ecological challenges. Selected in the 2019 Compose Knowledge call of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation to consolidate a pilot initiative that strengthened the collaboration network promoted together with Matadero Madrid, the Madrid City Council and the Polytechnic University of Madrid that connects art, science and society around the ecological transition.
