Sustainable food

GIASAT

The Integrated Management of Territorialised Food Systems (GIASAT) project promotes a consortium that works to promote local food networks in Spain. Its objective is to consolidate sustainable food hubs, shared logistics spaces that facilitate direct sales and short marketing channels between those who produce and those who consume local food. The initiative compiles and organises existing experiences at the state level and implements an operational model that ensures the viability of these spaces in different territories. In addition, it reinforces networking and the dissemination of learning so that food hubs are consolidated as a useful tool in the transition to more sustainable food systems. The project is part of the Sustainable Food axis of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, which supports actions aimed at strengthening territories and local value chains through cooperation.
