Context and purpose
Arraigad@s is part of the Sustainable Food strategy of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, dedicated to promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices and strengthening local capacities linked to fairer food systems.
The purpose of the project is to provide young migrants with practical training in agroecological and sustainable livestock techniques, along with basic support in social and administrative aspects that facilitate their integration and development in rural environments with employment opportunities.
Organization and collaboration
Arraigad@s is being developed in Carcaboso (Cáceres) with the support and collaboration of Educatierra, a community organization with experience in sustainable rural training and focused on empowering young migrants through practical programs of organic agriculture, sustainable livestock and techniques linked to working with the land.
The structure of the project it integrates technical training with comprehensive accompaniment. The collaborating organisations manage the training modules and support logistical aspects that favour the participation of those who start their training processes in rural areas.

Activities and training approach
The central component of Arraigad@s is practical training in agroecology and sustainable livestock farming. Through active learning spaces, participants exercise organic farming techniques, soil management and extensive livestock farming practices that respect the environment.
These activities are developed with methodologies that integrate:
- Organic gardens, irrigation and composting, teaching sustainable plant production techniques.
- Animal management and livestock practices linked to animal welfare systems and organic production.
In addition to technical training, the project incorporates social and administrative support to facilitate the daily lives of those who participate, as a complement to the acquisition of productive skills.
