Phase 1: Diagnosis and organization of the system
Phase 1 (2020–2022) lays the foundation for the model. The Cederna Garalur Local Action Group promotes a diagnosis of the agri-food system that identifies resources, previous initiatives and opportunities to relocate the food chain. Based on this analysis, governance spaces and working groups are activated that organise the participation of the different agents of the territory (producing sector, commerce, hospitality, administrations and citizens) and define specific functions within the system. This process makes it possible to structure local distribution networks, coordinate actors and build a shared framework for action in the medium term.
Phase 2: commissioning of local circuits
On this basis, phase 2 is geared towards implementation. The project relocates the different stages of the food system through actions that connect supply and demand: promotion of local markets, development of marketing tools, creation of product catalogues and implementation of shared logistics solutions to facilitate distribution in the territory. The working groups maintain their operational role and adapt the actions to the needs detected in each sector.

Agents involved in the project
The project is supported by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation through its Territorialized Food Systems program, which promotes this type of approach based on the territorial articulation of the food chain. Overall, the initiative moves towards a model that integrates production, transformation, distribution and consumption in Merindad itself, with the aim of strengthening the local economy, improving access to local food and reinforcing territorial cohesion.
