Invitation to the exhibition هِسْسْ “Storm Whispers” of the In Situ residency
Meet the 10 artists of the In Situ 2024-2025 program on the occasion of the exhibition هِسْسْ “Storm Murmurs” from February 26 to March 8 at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris. Curated by María Inés Rodríguez, the exhibition is conceived as a space open to debate and the transmission of knowledge, articulated around two complementary themes: geopolitical and ecological perspectives and methods of artistic creation and collaboration.
A space for creation and dialogue
Through the works of David Camargo & Amauta García, Constantin Jopeck, Tilhenn Klapper, Magdalena Orellana, Ai Ozaki, Ce Pams, Ella Prokkola, Hara Shin, Endi Tupja and Amir Youssef, هِسْسْ “Stormy Whispers” explores a diversity of artistic approaches that question contemporary issues. Open to all, this exhibition brings together a series of works conceived during the last 6 months of the In Situ residency, testifying to a committed and constantly evolving artistic journey. It also provides a space for discussion that reflects the desire to create a platform for knowledge exchange. On March 1st, in the form of conversations, several guests will speak and actively participate in the debates, enriching the collective reflection by sharing their experience and expertise.

A collective work reflecting the Citizen Artist program
In a context marked by social fractures and the urgency of climate issues, it is essential to recreate links and encourage dialogue. Art has this power: that of imagining new collective narratives, of including everyone as an actor and of offering open and engaging creative spaces, capable of responding to the challenges of our time.
It is in this perspective that the In Situ residency is a multidisciplinary program designed by the Cité internationale des arts and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation as part of its Citizen Artist program. Offering a framework conducive to experimentation and collective commitment, we have been supporting artists whose projects are focused on the ecological transition for 3 years. For these artists, from 11 nationalities and working in the fields of visual arts, performance, design and architecture-urbanism, María Inés Rodríguez has developed collective work sessions, individual support sessions, monthly meetings with invited personalities and studio visits. In addition, the artists benefit from the Cité internationale des arts network during their residency to deploy their research on the national territory.
