6 projects advance to the second phase of the third edition of Tiina

Compartir en:

In the third edition of the Tiina impact investment program, promoted by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation in collaboration with the Ship2B Foundation, six projects have been selected to move on to the acceleration phase. The entities that are now entering the second phase of the programme come from the field of sustainable food, addressing problems such as the revitalisation of rural areas, generational renewal in the agricultural world and the creation of healthier and more sustainable menus for companies; andfrom citizen art, whose specialisations are urban art and social inclusion. digital tools to create community in cultural work, and the relationship between art and mental health.

In the first phase of this edition, 14 entities were selected to participate in an Impact Business Bootcamp last June in Barcelona, where their proposals, business models and teams were deepened. Based on this experience, the selection committee carefully evaluated the impact potential and economic sustainability of each one, choosing the 6 projects with the greatest projection to continue in the next stage of the program. In this acceleration phase, which will culminate in March 2025 with a Demo Day, the selected projects will receive intensive training, both group and personalized. This accompaniment aims to strengthen their social, commercial and financial strategies, ensuring that their initiatives not only have a significant impact, but are also economically sustainable in the long term.

Tiina is a before and after. The participating projects become aware of the potential they have to achieve their objectives through training and accompaniment

Pilar Martínez

Sustainable Food Program Manager at Daniel y Nina Carasso Foundation for Spain

As in previous years, the Tiina program offers in this edition a fund of € 200,000, aimed at financing the most promising projects with soft loans. Each project will be eligible for funding of between €25,000 and €75,000, depending on its evolution and maturity during this phase. The Demo Day will mark the closing of this edition, where the projects will present their progress, their future plan and will be evaluated again under criteria of social impact and financial viability to determine their eligibility to receive funding.

Thus, the six selected projects are preparing to face the next months of intensive work, with an eye on the Demo Day and the possibility of accessing funding that will allow them to consolidate their impact in the field of sustainable food and citizen art.

Three editions and we are still amazed by the talent that surrounds us in Tiina! Every year, the initiatives that participate show us that the potential is immense, which makes choosing the finalists a challenge

Selected sustainable food projects:

We are of the people
Teruel

Abandonment of rural areas entails other associated problems such as unemployment or social-labour exclusion. To find solutions, apadrinaunolivo.org is developing the somosdelpueblo.org project, which seeks to create a system of godmothers and godparents of olive groves and orchards that allow their recovery and the generation of quality organic products. Thus, thanks to greater awareness of consumption, the project aims to scale up to 10,000 participating families and 60 permanent jobs. This organization believes that the collective is powerful and, therefore, they organize themselves as a tribe and decide in common, although it is not always the shortest path.

Novessendes
Foundation
Castellón

Horta del Rajolar is a project that deals with the lack of rejuvenation in agricultural structures in the province of Castellón. It does so through the production and marketing of organic and certified seasonal vegetables, high-quality products for responsible consumption that takes into account the dignity of the farmer. There are already 91 families who are directly benefiting from this initiative.

Mum’s
Madrid

This venture seeks to improve the food to which companies have access, making it healthier and more sustainable. To do this, it offers a delivery channel for products and makes them more appetizing through its catering, thus raising awareness of the importance of good nutrition.

Selected Citizen Art Projects:

B-Murals Centre d’Art Urbá
Barcelona

This association legitimizes urban art, the interaction between artists and the community through educational activities and programs, and the revitalization of public spaces thanks to the offer of physical space to work. Thus, B-Murals also promotes social inclusion through art.

Kultursistema
Vitoria

The objective of this initiative is to empower the cultural and creative sector. Currently, not all the agents that make up the world of culture are known and at this point, the Kultursistema platform proposes a mapping of the sector, with data analysis, report generation, connection of agents and spaces to work.

Meloom
Barcelona

This venture proposes to improve the well-being and mental and emotional health of those who participate in its project. They know the benefits of playing an instrument and the frustration of trying and not succeeding and, thanks to a multidisciplinary team, they seek to accompany millions of people in the process to achieve good results.
