Seven projects selected for the acceleration phase of the second edition of Tiina

Compartir en:

Fourteen entities working in the field of sustainable food and citizen art were selected to enter the first phase of the second edition of Tiina, the impact investment program in art and food launched by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation in collaboration with the Ship2B Foundation. After getting to know their projects and teams in depth during the bootcamp last June, seven projects have been selected to enter the acceleration phase that will end in early 2024 with a Demo Day.

The selection committee of the Tiina impact investment program, which we promote from the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation in collaboration with the Ship2B Foundation, has selected in its second edition seven finalist entities that will go on to the second and final phase of the program. In this acceleration phase, the projects will receive group training to promote the generation of community and personalized accompaniment that will include, according to the needs of each initiative, support in the design of a strategy that maximizes social impact, the business and commercial strategy, as well as the financial strategy to ensure its sustainability over time.

This second phase, as in the first edition of Tiina, will end with a Demo Day in which the seven projects will be able to explain their value proposition and their impact and financial projections to access a soft loan. The Tiina program contemplates a total fund of 200,000 euros for this second edition, with each finalist project being eligible for funding of between €25,000 and €75,000.

“All the projects that have participated in the bootcamp have enjoyed and have managed to move forward with their projects thanks to the mentoring of the experts who have accompanied them. Now it is time to continue working in depth with the seven selected in this second phase so that they can advance and be able to access the Tiina investment fund”

Program Manager Venture Philanthropy & Expansion at Fundación Ship2B

Of the 369 applications received in this second edition, 14 were selected for the first phase, meeting at an Impact Business Bootcamp last June in Barcelona, where we were able to learn more about their proposals, business models and teams. After this meeting, the programme’s selection committee has selected the seven projects with the greatest potential for impact and economic sustainability.

The seven selected projects will participate over the next few months in an intensive acceleration program in which they will receive group and personalized support and which will culminate in February 2024 with a Demo Day in which they will present the evolution of their proposals. After being reassessed under criteria of social impact and maturity to receive investment, they may be chosen to receive financing through the soft loans offered by the Tiina program fund.

“The seven selected initiatives address relevant challenges of our society, ranging from the preservation of tradition and food quality in rural areas, to the reduction of the gap in access to and enjoyment of culture regardless of age or origin, which gives them great potential to contribute to creating a fairer society. sustainable and equitable”.
